At the National Business Awards in 2016, Newton collected the award for the Best Small to Medium Business of the Year.

We launched year 1 of a highly ambitious transformation programme with a headline figure of taking £1.5bn out of a national submarine programme.

Building on our expertise in the defence sector, Newton expanded into the infrastructure sector. This move allowed us to apply our insights to new challenges, making infrastructure a key focus area for our growth and development.

Newton surpassed 350 people and is now supporting the national effort in responding to Covid-19, coordinating shielding, and boosting testing and ventilator production rates.

We appointed Christine Hodgson our new Chair. She takes up the role at the turn of the year, succeeding Andy Clarke. Christine joined Newton with a wealth of senior leadership and board experience to draw upon. A former Capgemini UK CFO, she also spent time as CEO of Technology Services Northwest Europe and the Global Head of Corporate Social Responsibility.

To ensure Newton’s continued growth and development, Steve Phillips was appointed to Managing Partner to lead our strategic direction and drive our expansion into different markets and territories.

People are at the heart of Newton, and as we grow, making sure we all feel engaged and able to thrive becomes more important than ever. Helen Beurier is instrumental in helping us to achieve our full potential. Helen has been key in how we will expand into different territories. Her expertise has helped us to realise our strategic ambitions and position us for future growth.

As part of Newton’s mission to foster our continued growth Newton acquired Magnetic and Xantura to build adjacent and complementary capabilities.
